About

Hello Everyone,   I am Lady Veronica Eardley, I make Bath and Beauty products, I am an Author, a Publisher, and I am  Commercial Airline Pilot, even with my hectic schedule I have time to make wonderful Bath and Beauty products at home, and so can you! When I am not flying around the Country, I make these wonderful products using simple ingredients from my local store. I began experimenting with base ingredients, and learned how to make Lipstick, Lip gloss, Bath Salts, Body Sprays, Soaps, Mouth wash, Tooth paste, Insect Repellent, and many more great products right in my own kitchen, and I want to show you just how simple it is. I coined the term “Insanely Easy” because as the Thesaurus explains in this case Insanely means “Wildly Easy” I started giving my products away as gifts for my friends and family, and they all loved them. Some of my friends wanted to learn how to make them, I realized how much I enjoyed sharing my techniques, and that inspired me to write my first “How To” book,                  ‘s “Insanely Easy” Lipstick and Lip Gloss. I am writing a series of “Insanely Easy” books designed to teach people how to make their own homemade products.  The books are affordable and easy to follow using simple ingredients that are easy to find.  Now everyone will be able to make homemade Bath and Beauty products for gifts or personal use. I also encourage everyone to recycle their old lipstick, lip gloss, and eye shadow containers.  So please join me in this pursuit and have a great time creating wonderful products for those you love. Enjoy !!

Large Pores Treatment

Author: peterhutch

Large pores are simply a genetic problem. Large pores are often an indication of oily skin. Large pores (sometimes referred to as enlarged pores) are likewise more common in the T-zone and occur most often on those with oily skin. Though not always, large pores and blackheads tend to go hand in hand. Blackheads and large pores usually come together. This is because the pores are larger, so oil and dead skin sits inside of them. This becomes a blackhead and stretches the pore even larger.

If enlarged pores are due to blackheads stretching the entrance of the pore, then firstly remove blackheads using one of the above methods, then to contract pores, blend (one or your preferred mixture) of camphor, sage and / or thyme in a base of jojoba oil. Use as a compress or mix in with your moisturiser and apply to affected areas. Jojoba is easily absorbed into the skin and balances oil levels (which may assist in reducing blackheads as sebum production is regulated).

Oatmeal and gram flour are good toning substance. You can add a little lemon juice, rose water and curd to them and apply on the skin. Wash this pack off when it dries. It tones the pores and enhances the complexion.

Honey is equally good to tone up the pores and reduce the oiliness from the skin. It can be applied in any of the facemask or can be directly applied on the skin with a little lemon juice and sugar to it. You can massage it on face and leave it for few minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Honey added to milk powder too helps if applied on the skin. A paste made of salt and butter is helpful in reducing pore size if applied on them.

Add tomato juice to calamine powder or sandalwood powder, as they help in reducing the size of the pores and even tone up the skin well. These packs help skin to reduce the sebum production and thus help in reducing the size of the pores.

Boire strips help with blackhead removal, so if you have blackheads, use them. They are effective. Also, scrub your face regularly to prevent your pores from getting clogged. Make sure you use a scrub that suits you, because certain scrubs can cause a rash.

Egg skin is a pore-shrinker that also helps bring skin eruptions to a head. Break an egg, reserve its contents for other use, and then carefully remove the membrane from the inside of the shell. Smooth this egg skin over the enlarged pores; let dry before peeling off.

Sunburn is better prevented than treated. Effective sunscreens are available in a wide variety of strengths. Most doctors recommend a sunscreen SPF level of 30 or greater.

Large pores are simply a genetic problem, but you can temporarily reduce large pores by clearing away dirt and debris. Large pores are often an indication of oily skin. Use one after the other for cleansing and exfoliating the skin. Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands. As egg whites dry, they lighten the skin and pull debris out of pores.

Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, and then apply witch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

Skin Benefits of Cucumber – Makes Your Skin Smooth

Author: Corwin Brown

Cucumber is an excellent source of silica, which is a trace mineral that contributes to the strength of our connective tissue. Connective tissue is what holds our body together. Cucumbers are effective when used for various skin problems, including swelling under the eyes and sunburn. They also contain ascorbic and caffeic acids. These acids prevent water retention. That may explain why when cucumbers are applied topically they are often helpful for swollen eyes, burns, and dermatitis.

Cucumber is a vegetable that belongs to the same family as pumpkins, zucchinis and other squashes. It has a dark green skin, which reveals whitish or very light green flesh, when peeled. There are basically two types of cucumbers - the pickling varieties and the slicing varieties. Of these, the pickling variety is relatively small, around 2 - 4 inches long.

Today we see the cucumber as a provider of a very healthy juice beneficial for its places as an increaser of the flowing of weewee and as a complement to the outcomes of apium graveolens dulce and carrot juice for rheumatic statuses, while at the same clip being a soothing skin lotion.

As a beauty aid, the cucumber provides immediate relief to puffy eyes; a fresh cucumber can be cut into thin slices, and these placed on the eyes for 5-10 minutes. This works incredibly well after a tiring day at work in front of the computer, and helps to relieve stress and dark circles around the eye area as well. Grated cucumber can be used as a mask and tonic for the entire face and neck.

Cucumbers are scientifically known as Cucumis sativus, which belongs to the same family as pumpkin, zucchini, watermelon and squash.

Cucumber's nutritional benefits include natural salts, enzymes, and vitamins essential for strong cell growth and repair. In addition, the high mineral content and minerals in cucumber peel offer a natural source for a fresh, powerful antioxidant. The alkalinity of cucumber is also a positive attribute, and because of its water base, the cucumber is also a top choice as a diuretic.

The high water content makes cucumbers a diuretic and it also has a cleansing action within the body by removing accumulated pockets of old waste material and chemical toxins. Cucumbers help eliminate uric acid which is beneficial for those who has arthritis and its fibre-rich skin and their high levels of potassium and manganese helps regulate blood pressure and help promote nutrient functions. The magnesium content in cucumbers also relaxes nerves and muscles and keeps blood circulating smoothly.

Cucumber is good for those who are dieting as it is very low in calories. It has a cleansing action within the body by removing accumulated pockets of old waste material and chemical toxins. It helps eliminate uric acid so it is good for those who has arthritis. Its juice is a nourishing vitamin for our hair and skin. It is also a good rejuvenator and makes us feel and look younger.

It is believed that cucumber helps in reducing swelling around the eyes or the big dark circles under your eyes. This is world-wide treatment which is being used to its maximum extent.

How Can I Get Rid of My Scars?

Author: Nick Mutt

There might be the case when you ask your friends on how to get rid of scars. Let's know what this article exactly talks about and what the scars are? When there is an injury, our skin automatically produces more cells in order to re-grow the injured skin. This tissue is known as scars. These scars are easily visible because the cells that grow in making up the scars are of lesser quality than the original cells. They are less resistant to UV radiation and are not able to grow any hair since they have no follicles.

When we look for the questions likes ‘how can I get rid of my scars' or ‘how can I remove my scars', we should be well familiar with the fact that scars can never be completely healed. There are a number of medical and cosmetic methods to cover up scars, but none of them can claim to remove them completely.

There are many natural and herbal treatments to remove scars. These herbal methods are safe, simple and cost effective. These methods are generally simple home treatments, and they have no harmful effects. You can try these methods before going in for complicated surgical procedures.

Herbal remedies to remove scars

There are several natural and herbal remedies to prevent and treat scars by opening the kitchen cabinet. These herbal methods are inexpensive and safe to use.

- Cucumber - The cucumber is very helpful in the removal of scar tissues. Prepare a paste of cucumber and apply directly onto the scars. This will help the scars to smoothen out after a few applications left overnight.

- Indian Gooseberry - The Indian gooseberry (amalaki) is very beneficial in the prevention of scars after healing. Gooseberry is a good source of vitamin C, which is very essential for cementing the open wounds.

- Garlic - Cut a clove of garlic into half and rub it on the acne scars. This helps to treat the acne without leaving a scar behind later on.

- Aloe Vera - Aloe Vera is also an effective herbal remedy for the treatment of residual scars. Its juice acts as natural bleach. When applied directly onto the scars it helps the scar to slowly reduce and vanish.

The Harm of Using Pimple Popping Tools

Author: Diana Chin

Anyone who has ever experienced a breakout has had to deal with the issue of going out in public with a red, inflamed pimple. Not only is it embarrassing, it's painful. Some might reach for makeup, to try to cover up the zit while they suffer in silence. Others might choose over-the-counter pimple treatments, to hopefully shrink it away overnight. Still others might reach for blemish extractors, cotton swabs, or even safety pins to try to pop the offending blemish. Unfortunately, makeup can clog pores and transmit more breakout-causing bacteria, over-the-counter pimple treatments can dry skin and irritate existing blemishes, and pimple popping tools have a host of problems all their own.

Even though these tools are made expressly for removing blackheads and popping pimples, there are several reasons why they're best left in the hands of professionals. For one, they can transmit infections if they aren't sanitized after each use. The inside of a pimple contains dead white blood cells and infectious bacteria. When this comes in contact with the nooks and crannies of a pimple popping tool, the bacteria can end up hitching a ride on the tool itself. This means that that material can end up pushed into pores the next time the tool is used to pop a blemish or remove a blackhead. The risk is even greater if the tool is shared among housemates or family members. Dermatologists and aestheticians use their own variants of pimple popping tools, but they are always sterilized between uses.

Next, using the tool improperly can cause scarring and discoloration. When faced with a stubborn blemish that refuses to pop, or a blackhead that won't budge, many people apply some extra pressure to get results. This can end up damaging the already-inflamed blood vessels in delicate facial skin, leading to purple, spidery broken capillaries. Acne scarring is caused by inflamed, irritated dermal tissue. Some blemishes become inflamed on their own, but disturbing them with fingers, cotton swabs, or a tool can force bacteria and debris deeper into the dermis, resulting in more severe swelling and scars. While some acne scars can be covered with cosmetics or reduced with dermatological procedures, many types (like deep "icepick scars") can only be eliminated with plastic surgery.

There's also the "Triangle of Death" to contend with. This triangle comprises the area around and including the nose, and is loaded with blood vessels that result in very large, red, angry-looking blemishes when breakouts arise. Unfortunately, these blood vessels can allow bacteria to travel to the brain if they're disturbed or compromised. Popping pimples, picking scabs, or squeezing blackheads anywhere in this area can cause potentially serious infections-- even lethal brain abscesses.

In the end, the best policy is to leave blemishes alone. If a serious blemish absolutely needs to be popped, a dermatologist should be consulted to ensure that it's handled in the cleanest, safest, and least damaging way possible. Dermatologists can also prescribe effective treatments to help keep breakouts under control, and avoid needing to pop anything in the future.

Benefits of Honey for Skin

Honey Benefits Honey is a sweet, thick sugary solution made by bees. The composition of honey consists of varying proportions of fructose, glucose, water, oil and special enzymes produced by bees. Glucose and fructose are types of sugar. The first step in making honey begins when field bees fly from flower to flower collecting the sweet juices or nectar that a flower provides. With their tongues, the field bees suck out the nectar and store it in sacs within their bodies. After filling their sacs with these sweet juices, the field bees fly back to their bee hive and regurgitate the stored nectar into the mouths of house bees.

The types of flowers the bees pollinate determine flavor and color of honey. Buckwheat honey comes from the buckwheat plant and is dark in color with a distinct flavor. The darker shades of honey are believed to have more antioxidants. The study showed no weight gain in participants for the month they were consuming honey. And, some claimed that eating honey for breakfast actually made them feel full and satisfied.

Recipes

Honey Cleanser

Mix 1 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp. finely ground almonds with 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Rub it on your face. Rinse it with warm water.

Honey Toner

Make a concoction of 1 tbsp. honey with peeled and deseeded apple. Apply this paste on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse it with cool water.

Honey Facial Mask

1 tbsp. honey, 1 egg white, 1 tsp glycerin and in proportion add flour to all the ingredients to whisk up a smooth paste. Spread this paste all over your face including the neck and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash it off with warm water.

Effectiveness against Wound-infecting Species of Bacteria

The seven species of bacteria most commonly involved in wound infection have been tested for their sensitivity to the antibacterial activity of honey. The two major forms of antibacterial activity were examined separately: a honey with an average level of activity due to hydrogen peroxide and no detectable non-peroxide activity was used; also a manuka honey with an average level of non-peroxide activity, with cataloes added to remove any hydrogen peroxide.

The use:

Mixture of equal quantities of honey and ginger juice is a good expectorant. It helps in colds, cough, sore throat and runny nose.

For asthma, mix half a gram of black pepper powder with honey and ginger juice mixture. Drink this mixture a few times a day.

Honey can soothe and encourage the healing of sores in the mouth or vagina.

A bowl of oats porridge with a spoonful of honey will calm the nerve. Ideal to be taken before an exam.

As research points to Honey as a skin healer more and more people will turn to it for skin care purposes. Honey has profound benefits if taken internally; these same remarkable agents are now being used in the care of your skin. Using raw and unfiltered honey guarantees that all the natural elements God placed in honey will not be removed through heating or filtering. Try our honey in any of these skin care recipes and see for yourself what honey can do for your skin.
